30 Days of Literary Abandon, Huh?
Posted by jlsgrant in Miscellaneous Stuff that Won't Fit Into Another Category! on November 1, 2010
Day 1/30 – Took an inspirational walk this morning to get my creative juices flowing. It’s been a long time since I had a real goal and deadline…and to think it’s self-inflicted! All I need is a little discipline and some creativity, right. So here are our goals for the month:
#1 Boy – 10,000 Words…333 per day
#1 Girl – 30,000 Words…1000 per day
Me – 50,000 Words…1666 per day
Pray for us as we take this exciting new journey! Pray for focus and discipline….for courage and inspiration! Why not sign up yourself?
ready, set, write…………
I Have Issues and The Little Man on the Wall

Ok – So I have some serious issues…I plan to work on them someday. But for right now, it really bugs me when I post something without pictures on my blog! I don’t like to go to my Home page when it looks boring….even if it has interesting facts! (Maybe I am a visual learner, right??) So I had to find a photo, then make up a very short story so that my Home page will no longer look boring…..Issues!
I’d like to introduce you to our old friend. We don’t know his real name, so we call him, “The Little Man on the Wall”! The first time we saw him, we were sitting in the family room. I don’t remember what we were doing, but since that’s where the TV is, I’m guessing we were sitting there watching the Discovery Channel, in a somewhat vegetative state.
All of the sudden, #1 Boy looks out the window and in a very startled voice asks, “Hey, who’s that on our wall?” Quickly I dashed through the house searching for a photo imaging device. Just then, #1 Girl exclaims, “Look, I think he’s about to water our plants!”
The Little Man on the Wall returned everyday for three days, but sadly we have never seen him since. I’m not really sure who he was, but it was nice of him to water our plants. He may have been a wood nymph, or perhaps some kind of plant fairy,or….. he may have been working on a roof in the neighborhood next to us!
